What happens in a Growth Sprint? Day one to day 30
A Growth Sprint is one full day in person, then 30 days of implementation. Before the day, I audit your business against the Growth Codex. On the day, we find the constraint and start building. Over the next 30 days, we build and launch the agreed work, tracked in a shared Basecamp project.
This post walks through it step by step. Who it's for, what happens before, during and after the day, what it costs and how much of your time it takes.
Who is a Growth Sprint for?
A Growth Sprint is for established expert-led businesses doing £500k or more a year. It works best when you already have a proven offer, real demand and clients getting results, and growth has become harder to predict. The aim is to amplify something that already works.
Typically that's coaches, consultants, educators and service businesses built on expertise and reputation. Referrals, relationships and organic demand bring in business, but too unevenly to plan around, and too many decisions still land on the founder's desk.
If you're still finding product-market fit, it's probably too early, and I'll tell you that on the call.
What happens before the in-person day?
It starts with a 30-minute Growth Call to understand the business and confirm fit, scope and investment. If it makes sense, we agree a Sprint date. Before the day itself, I run a pre-Sprint Growth Codex audit, so our time together goes on diagnosing and deciding.
The Growth Call is a real conversation about the business. If I can't see a constraint I can genuinely help with, I'll say so.
The audit covers the groundwork in advance, so the day can go straight to the decisions that matter.
What happens on the in-person day?
The in-person day is a full working day in Leeds, London or Lisbon. We work through the six Growth Codex systems, find the constraint, make the key decisions and start building the first priority together. You leave knowing what deserves attention now, and what can wait.
The second half of that matters as much as the first. Most founders I work with have a long list of good ideas. The useful output of the day is a short list, with the rest parked on purpose.
I learned to work this way in counter-terrorism policing, long before business. Find the constraint, apply force at the right point, then move. The day is built around that rhythm.
What happens over the 30 days of implementation?
Over the 30 days, we build, launch and implement the agreed work with your team. Every deliverable lives in a shared Basecamp project, so you can see what's in progress, what's live and what's next. You can message me directly throughout for review and feedback.
Depending on the constraint, the work might be a funnel, a sales process, an offer, a nurture sequence, reporting or a management process. We agree the scope on the day, built around the constraint, so the 30 days go into one clear priority.
In practice, a message might be as simple as, hey, the new booking page is live, can you sanity-check the second section before we send traffic to it? I reply, we adjust, it ships.
What do you have at the end of a Growth Sprint?
At the end of the 30 days, you have the priority work live and the key metrics to track it. You also keep the Growth Codex as a framework for deciding where to look next. We close with a 30-minute handover call. From there, it's yours to run.
How much does a Growth Sprint cost?
A Growth Sprint is priced by annual revenue, because larger businesses usually have more offers, people, systems and customer journeys to work around. It's £10,000 + VAT for businesses doing £500k to £1m, £15,000 + VAT for £1m to £2m, and from £25,000 + VAT for £2m and above.
| Annual revenue | Investment | Typically |
|---|---|---|
| £500k to £1m | £10,000 + VAT | A focused offer, smaller team and direct path from lead to customer |
| £1m to £2m | £15,000 + VAT | Several offers, a growing team and more than one route to a sale |
| £2m+ | From £25,000 + VAT | Multiple offers, departments and customer journeys, with established systems to build around |
We confirm fit, scope and investment on the Growth Call before anything is booked.
How much of your time does a Growth Sprint take?
You'll need the full in-person day, then time for quick async reviews in Basecamp over the 30 days. You stay involved for quick decisions and reviews, with relevant team members pulled in when needed. We handle the building and launching alongside your team.
What results can you expect from a Growth Sprint?
Nobody can honestly promise a revenue number in 30 days, so I won't. What stays the same every time is the process: diagnose the business, agree the priority work and implement it over 30 days, tracked throughout. Past results show what's possible in the right conditions.
For context, here are results from previous client work. Mayhem Performance Coaching collected $219K from $15.5K of ad spend, a 14× cash return. Gym Owner Network generated £410K in revenue at a 10.3× return on ad spend. PFCA saw 90% more enrolments at a 40% higher price. Individual results vary by business, constraint and implementation.
“Matt didn't just advise. He took full ownership of the implementation. That's the difference. Most people tell you what to do. Matt actually does it.”
Jake Foster, Head Coach, Mayhem Performance Coaching
If you're comparing this with hiring an agency, growth partner vs marketing agency sets out the differences.

Where does the in-person day take place?
The in-person day takes place in Leeds, London or Lisbon. We agree the date after the Growth Call.
What happens if you can't find a constraint?
We check for that on the Growth Call, before anything is booked. If I can't see a constraint I can genuinely help with, I'll tell you.
Can you guarantee a revenue result?
No. The results I share come from other businesses, and every business is different. What stays the same is the process: diagnose the business, then implement the priority work over 30 days.
How is a Growth Sprint different from a strategy day?
A strategy day usually ends with recommendations you implement yourself. A Growth Sprint adds 30 days of building and launching the agreed work. You finish with it live and the metrics in place to track it.
What happens after the 30 days?
We close with a 30-minute handover call. You keep the work and the metrics around it, and the Growth Codex to decide what comes next. It's yours to run.
